Khatyrkite (/ˈkæti.ərkaɪt/ KAT-ee-ər-kyt) is a rare mineral which is mostly composed of copper and aluminium but might contain up to about 15% of zinc or iron; its chemical structure is described by an approximate formula (CuZn)Al2 or (CuFe)Al2. It was discovered in 1985 in placers derived from serpentinite in association with another rare mineral cupalite ((CuZnFe)Al).
