Kepler-61 is a 15th magnitude star in the constellation Cygnus. It is a young star with an age of 1 billion years. It is slightly denser than the sun with 63.5% of the mass and 62% of the radius. Because it is a red dwarf star it is cooler than the sun with a temperature of 4017 K. An exoplanet called Kepler-61b a super earth orbits in the habitable zone.
