Keele Preceptory was a priory in Staffordshire England. It was owned by the Knights Templar being granted as a gift for the sum of eight marks by Henry II of England. The land was leased out by the order over the years up to 1255 when the first preceptory was built on the site. In 1308 it is recorded that the land still held a large amount of wasteland. The site was situated on a major packhorse route for which the Templars charged 4d per passage.
