Kedarcidin is a chromoprotein antibiotic with anticancer activity first isolated from an Actinomycete in 1992 comprising an ansa-bridged enediyne chromophore (shown) as well as an apoprotein that serves to stabilize this potent cytotoxin in the producing organism.
