Kate Smurthwaite (born 9 December 1975) is a British stand-up comedian and political activist. She regularly appears on British television and radio as a pundit offering opinion and comment on subjects ranging from politics religion and feminism. A clip of Smurthwaite appearing on BBC One’s The Big Questions in 2010 went viral when it was shared on YouTube and other video sharing websites under the title Atheist Bitchslap attracting over two million views.
