Karl Sandoval is a luthier. He is best known for making a polka dot V for Randy Rhoads[citation needed] in addition to his work for Eddie Van Halen[citation needed] and George Lynch[citation needed] during the 1980s.Sandoval started in the guitar business by working at Fender in the 1970s. He then moved onto working at Charvel’s Guitar Custom Shop in Covina California where luthier Wayne Charvel taught Sandoval the basics of guitar repair and creation.
