K-1 World MAX 2002 Preliminary Brazil was a kickboxing event promoted by the K-1 organization. It was a qualifying tournament for the K-1 World MAX 2003 Final and involved eight fighters all of whom were based in Brazil with all matches fought under K-1 Rules (70 kg/152 lb weight class). The tournament champion was Marfio Canoletti who defeated Zelly Ferreira in the final by third round decision.
