The Kürtün Dam is a concrete-face rock-fill dam on the Harşit River located 5 km (3 mi) east of Kürtün in Gümüşhane Province Turkey. The development was backed by the Turkish State Hydraulic Works. Construction began in 1986 and ended in 2003. Filling of the reservoir began in 2002 and the underground power plant was operation in 2004. The plant has an installed capacity of 80 MW.
