Joshua E. Friedel (born December 3 1986) is a Grandmaster chess player from Goffstown New Hampshire in the United States. By the age of 14 he received chess lessons from such Grandmasters as Larry Christiansen Gregory Kaidanov and Alex Goldin. At the age of 18 he held his first International Master title and by the time he turned 22 he became a Grandmaster. He has won the Pan American Eastern and National Opens. In 2008 he got his Grandmaster norm and by 2013 won Chicago Open.
