Joseph R. Fornieri (born June 27 1965) is an American political historian and Professor of Political Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is an expert on the political ideology of Abraham Lincoln.In 2005 he was presented the Eisenhart Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. In 2011 he was presented the Eisenhart Award for Outstanding Teaching.He is a 1987 graduate of SUNY Geneseo.He is a member of Alpha Chi Rho FraternityHe resides in Fairport NY.
