Josef Hones (born March 6 1954) is an Austrian ski mountaineer former biathlete and mountain runner.Hones participated in the 1976 Winter Olympics and finished 15th in the 4 × 7.5 kilometres relay event together with Franz-Josef Weber Alfred Eder and Klaus Farbmacher. In 1978 he won the Trofeo Mezzalama ski mountaineering competition in the civilian teams category together with Rudolf Kapeller and Karl Sinzinger.
