José Coppinger (April 5 1773 – August 15 1844) was a prominent Cuban soldier who served in the infantry of the Royal Spanish Army (Ejército de Tierra) and governed Spanish East Florida and its provincial capital of St. Augustine between 1816 and 1821. He was a member of the Royal and Military Order of Saint Ferdinand and San Hermenegildo.
