Jorge Valente Gurgel (/ˈɡɜrɡəl/; Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈʒɔʁʒi ɡuʁˈʒew]; born January 25 1977 in Fortaleza Brazil) is a Brazilian Mixed martial artist and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner who formerly fought for the Ultimate Fighting Championship and last fought for Strikeforce until it ceased operations. Gurgel is a former Absolute Combat Challenge Lightweight Champion.
