John ‘Tull’ Dunne Irish Gaelic footballer coach and administrator 26 December 1911 – 12 May 1990.Born in Brackernagh Ballinasloe County Galway Dunne was the son of William Dunne a carpenter and Katie Donelan. He was educated at the local Christian Brothers school. After he left school he obtained employment in the town post office. Dunne became a member of St Grellan’s GFC where he played midfield and as centre-forward.
