John Tong Hon (born Hong Kong 31 July 1939) is a [citation needed] Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. Appointed by Pope Benedict XVI Tong Hon is also the titular Archpriest of the church of Regina Apostolorum in Rome.In his youth Tong Hon spent ten years living in Huadu Guangzhou before returning to Hong Kong. He earned a master’s degree in philosophy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong before going on to doctoral studies at the Pontifical Urbaniana University.
