John Sumter Bull (September 25 1934 – August 11 2008) was a U.S. Navy test pilot aeronautical engineer and a NASA astronaut.Bull attended primary and secondary schools in Memphis Tennessee and graduated in 1952 from Central High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University in 1957 before joining the Navy in June of that same year.
