John Rea (born 5 December 1951) is a retired Scottish snooker player.The highlight of Rea’s career came in the 1989 Scottish Professional Championships when he beat Murdo MacLeod to become the Scottish champion.On 18 February 1989 he scored a maximum break in a match against Ian Black in the Scottish Professional Championship becoming the first Scot ever to achieve this feat.He now owns the Lucky Break snooker club in Clydebank through which he has sponsored local football teams.
