John Keane (18 February 1917 – 1 October 1975) was an Irish hurler who played as a centre-back for the Waterford senior team.Born in Waterford Keane first excelled at hurling during his school days at Mount Sion CBS. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of fifteen when he first linked up with the Waterford minor team before later lining out with the junior side. He made his senior debut in the 1934-35 National Hurling League.
