John Hardy Steele (January 4 1789 – July 3 1865) was an American mechanic manufacturer and politician from Peterborough New Hampshire.Born in 1789 in Salisbury North Carolina he was a prominent factory owner and cloth manufacturer who also served as Governor of New Hampshire. He died in 1865 in Peterborough New Hampshire.
