John Greening (born 25 December 1950 in Burnie) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood in the VFL.Greening attended Montello Primary School and Parklands High as he grew up in the industrial town of Burnie in northern Tasmania. Recruited by Collingwood Football Club Greening moved to Victoria in 1967 aged 16 and attended Northcote High School.
