The Rt Rev John Alexander Ellison was the Anglican Bishop of Paraguay from 1988 to 2007.Born in 1940 he was educated at the London College of Divinity and ordained in 1968 he began his career with Curacies at St Paul’s Woking and St Saviours Belgrano Buenos Aires. In 1983 he was appointed Vicar of St Mary the Virgin Aldridge a post he held until his elevation to the Episcopate. Having retired he is now an honorary assistant bishop in the Diocese of Winchester.
