Jimi Hendrix was an American guitarist and singer-songwriter who recorded from 1962 until his death in 1970. Prior to his rise to fame in late 1966 he had recorded several singles as a sideman with American R&B artists including the Isley Brothers Little Richard and others. With the Jimi Hendrix Experience he recorded three best-selling studio albums and several singles.
