Jim Caldwell (11 August 1888 – 21 August 1929) was an Australian rules footballer who played with South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Caldwell played through the centre and was a premiership player with Williamstown before joining South Melbourne in 1909. In his debut South Melbourne reached the grand final but Caldwell missed out on playing due to suspension of nine weeks for striking in the Preliminary Final.
