Jesús Eduardo Amaral FAIA (Humacao Puerto Rico 1927) is a Puerto Rican architect and educator. As partner in the firm Amaral y Morales he produced some of Puerto Rico’s most notable modern architecture primarily from 1950 to 1970. He is the founder and first head of the School of Architecture of the University of Puerto Rico (1966–1969). Amaral was born in 1927 in Humacao Puerto Rico. He studied civil engineering (1948) and architecture (1951) at Cornell University in Ithaca NY.
