Jean Pisani-Ferry (born July 28 1951) is a French economist and public policy expert. He is currently Director of Bruegel the Brussels-based economic think tank. He is also a professor of economics with Université Paris-Dauphine.After having held positions in research and government in France he joined the European Commission in 1989 as economic adviser to the Director-General of DG ECFIN.
