Janice Bernadette Battersby (née Lee) is a fictional character in the UK television ITV soap opera Coronation Street. Portrayed by actress Vicky Entwistle the character first appeared onscreen during the episode airing on 6 January 1997.On 2 August 2010 it was announced that Entwistle had quit her role as Janice Battersby after 14 years on the show and would depart in 2011.
