Jan Kmenta (born on January 3 1928) is a Czech-American economist. Currently he is Professor Emeritus of Economics and Statistics at the University of Michigan and Visiting Professor at CERGE-EI in Prague. He is the author of the acclaimed textbook Elements of Econometrics.
