James I. Brownson (January 25 1856 – January 1 1939) was a judge in Pennsylvania. He was born in Washington Pennsylvania on January 25 1856. His father Rev. Dr. James I. Brownson served as pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Washington for fifty years and as interim President of Washington & Jefferson College twice.Brownson graduated from Washington and Jefferson College in 1875. He read law with the Alexander Wilson and was admitted to the Washington county bar in 1878.
