James Thomas Gibbons Hayes S.J. D.D. is the First Bishop and Archbishop of Cagayan de Oro. He established the Ateneo de Cagayan which is known today as Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan and Lourdes College. A road going to the City Hall of Cagayan de Oro is named after him.
