James H. Jim Maloney (born September 17 1948) is a former Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Connecticut.Maloney was born in Quincy Massachusetts. He was a Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) volunteer from 1969 until 1970. He graduated from Harvard University in 1972 and received a law degree from Boston University School of Law in 1980. Prior to his entry into politics he practiced law in Danbury.
