James Francis McCarthy (b. July 9 1942) is an American Roman Catholic bishop.Born in Mount Kisco New York McCarthy was ordained to the priesthood on June 1 1968 for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York. On May 22 1999 he was appointed titular bishop of ‘Verrona’ and auxiliary bishop of the New York Archdiocese and was ordained on June 29 1999. On June 15 2002 he resigned.
