Jacob Schueler was a confectionery proprietor in the city of Denver during the early 1870s. Born in Germany’s Rhineland in 1835 he immigrated to America in 1850 and arrived in Denver as one of the Pikes Peakers in 1861. He soon went to serve in the American Civil War and returned. In 1873 he teamed with fellow German immigrant Adolph Coors investing $18000 to Coors $2000 to start the Golden Brewery now known as Coors Brewery at Golden Colorado.
