Edward J. Towers also known as Jack Tower (February 24 1888–November 1985) was an American racecar driver and riding mechanic. He lived in Flint Michigan. Tower was the fastest qualifier at the 1913 Indianapolis 500 but started from the back row as the grid was determined by a blind draw. In addition to his racing career Tower served in the U.S. Army in World War I and World War II achieving the rank of Colonel.
