Jack Harcourt Deveraux (born William Earl Johnson) is a fictional character on the soap opera Days of our Lives. He is the most prominent member of the Johnson family and is most famously played by Matthew Ashford. After a four-year absence the character had recently returned to Salem to reconnect with his estranged family. Ashford also returned as Jack reprising the role as of September 23 2011.Ashford’s return however was short-lived.
