Júlio Foca Fernandez (born March 3 1957 in Rio de Janeiro Brazil) is a sixth degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under the late Grandmaster Carlson Gracie Sr. His nickname Foca is Portuguese for Sea Lion. He is the co-author of the instructional book Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu: For Experts Only alongside Carlson Gracie Sr.
