Irwandi Yusuf (born in Bireuën Aceh August 2 1960) is the former Governor of the Indonesian province of Aceh. He won the 2006 Aceh regional election as an independent candidate (non-party) along with Muhammad Nazar S. Ag. as his partner but lost his 2012 reelection campaign following a strong challenge and intensive campaigning by other local political rivals.
