Iron(II) hydride (systematically named iron dihydride) also called ferrous hydride is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula FeH2. To date it has only been observed in the molecular form which is to say that its bulk properties (including its standard state) remain unknown. Molecular iron(II) hydride and its adducts only persists at cryogenic temperatures.
