The Ireland national hurling team consisting solely of hurlers is a representative team for Ireland (both Northern and Republic jurisdictions) in the sport of composite rules shinty–hurling. Few players from the highest level of hurling compete and the team is made up mostly of hurlers from competitions such as the Ring Rackard and Meagher Cups.At present the only team it plays is the Scotland national shinty team on an annual basis.
