The Independent Citizens’ Party (Dutch: Onafhankelijke Burger Partij OBP) is a political party in the Netherlands. The party was founded by Hero Brinkman a Member of the House of Representatives for the Party for Freedom (PVV). Brinkman left the Party for Freedom after he had repeatedly criticised the lack of democracy within the party as well as their negative generalisations about certain groups in society.
