The incisura anterior auris or intertragic incisure is the space between the tragus and antitragus of the pinna — a portion of the external ear. Other names include anterior auricular groove auricular notch sulcus auriculae anterior. The incisura anterior auris is the point specified (although not by that name) in the U.S. Army’s regulation governing length of sideburns in male soldiers.
