In The City is an annual music industry conference and festival founded by Tony Wilson formerly of Factory Records and Granada Television and his partner Yvette Livesey.The event takes place every October in Manchester England with the music industry conference being held across a number of city centre hotels in the Piccadilly area. The Unsigned Festival which is open to the public is held in the Northern Quarter.In 2010 the event took place from October 13–15.
