Ibrahim al-Afghani also known as Ibrahim Haji Jama Mee’aad was a prominent member of Somalia’s Al-Shabaab an insurgent group fighting Somalia’s Transitional Federal Government. He hails from the Sacad Muse sub-clan of Isaaq. Some reports said he succeeded Moktar Ali Zubeyr (Abdi Godane) as Emir or top leader on December 25 2010 after a power struggle between Godane and other prominent al-Shabaab leaders like Mukhtar Robow (Abu Mansur) and Fuad Shangole.
