Ian D. Cooper (born 12 June 1954) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL).From East Reservoir Cooper came to Collingwood as a forward but was used as a back pocket defender during his time in the VFL. He played his first game in 1972 but didn’t establish a place in the team until 1974 and was a regular until 1977. Injuries restricted him to just 14 games in his final four seasons.
