Hugh of Noara also known as Ugo of Novara and Hugo of Novara was Cistercian Benedictine monk a disciple of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux. French by birth he served as first abbot at Novara abbey Sicily. There Hugh remained until his death in 1170.
