Hugh IV of Burgundy (9 March 1213 – 27 or 30 October 1272) was Duke of Burgundy between 1218 and 1272. Hugh was the only son of Eudes III Duc de Bourgogne and Alice de Vergy.They were descendants of the Capetian dynasty from the time of Charlemagne. His lineage and ancestry included former Kings of France such as Robert I and Kings of Scotland such as Robert de Bruce.
