Hu Die (Chinese: 胡蝶; pinyin: Hú Dié; 1907 – April 23 1989) also known as Butterfly Wu (蝶 dié means butterfly) was a famous Chinese actress born in Shanghai. Her name at birth was Hu Ruihua (胡瑞华). She was voted the Movie Queen in 1933 beating Chen Yumei and the legendary Ruan Lingyu.
