Howie Hawkins (born 1952) is an American politician and activist with the Green Party of the United States and Socialist Party USA. He was New York’s Green Party candidate for the U.S. Senate in the State of New York in 2006. During the 2008 Green Party primaries Hawkins served as a placeholder candidate for Ralph Nader on some 2008 Green Party primary ballots until Nader announced his intentions for the 2008 election.
