The Houston Police Officer Memorial is a piece of public art erected in Houston in 1991 to recognize the sacrifices made by city police officers and to honor those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Designed by artist Jesus Bautista Moroles the piece is set as a 120’ by 120’ Greek cross with a stepped pyramid and sunken courtyard at its center. The top of the pyramid contains a pink granite reflecting pool engraved with the names of officers killed in the line of duty.
