Hotnews.ro is a Romanian news site. It was founded in October 1999 by a group of financial journalists under the name revistapresei.ro and contained articles from outside sources put together as a press review. It was rebranded HotNews.ro in 2005. As of December 2008 they claim to have between 80000 and 90000 daily visitors.Located in Bucharest the company employed more than 50 journalists in 2008. Its advertising sales for 2007 stood between €600000 and €700000.
