The Honda MVX250F motorcycle was developed by Honda. It was powered by a two-stroke V3 engine. New Zealand was among the few countries in the world outside Japan where the MVX 250 was sold new through Honda motorcycle dealerships. In 1984 the MVX 250 was sold new for $3299 New Zealand dollars. Initially many bikes suffered engine failures often within the warranty period.
